Unforeseen absence

During last weeks my son's health got really bad. He had been suffering due to his adenoids in the last year, but we wanted to avoid surgery if possible...
The situation got better during summer, but now it is not bearable anymore. Among other things, during the night at times he simply cannot breath at all... so the doctors (and we) decided that he'll have surgery urgently, to take his adenoids and tonsils off.

For reasons described here (sorry, it is in Italian, it essentially describes a new and better way to perform that surgery) we will go here, which is about 200 Km from where we live.

Therefore, I will simply disappear for a few days... and hopefully this will solve my son's problems!

We are back from the hospital, and everything went well.
For the first time since more than one year, Michele's oxygen saturation is at 99% most of the time, and absolutely never below 95% (before he had frequent apnea periods when the saturation dropped below 70%). The convalescence is rather painful for him, which is not a nice thing to watch, but it is really worth it... and this time we know that in a week everything will be over!
